The reason “where shall we eat?” takes twenty minutes is not that the choice is hard. It is that whoever picks becomes responsible for the evening. Everyone would rather defer than risk choosing the place that turns out to be mediocre, so the group stalls politely until someone gives in out of hunger.
A generator removes the blame without removing the choice. Nobody picked, so nobody is at fault — and in practice the suggestion does its real work by provoking a reaction. If the answer comes back “ramen” and somebody immediately says “not ramen,” you have learned more in one second than in the previous ten minutes.

Indirectly, and it is usually the more useful way round. Filter by occasion instead: quick and casual results are almost all single-dollar places, while special occasion results are the top bracket. Every result also shows its own price bracket.
They are the usual bracket for that type of place in the US and UK: one is an everyday cheap meal, two is a normal sit-down dinner, three is expensive or a special occasion. They are a rough guide, not a quoted price.
Let something else decide what lands on the table at home instead.
